| 2005 Lawmen Team Dedicates Season to Fallen Player |

The NorCal Lawmen have officially dedicated the 2005 season to fallen teammate and friend, #29 Derrick Barrett, who tragically lost his life on May 12th.
Derrick who was 25 years old played strong safety for Pittsburg High, Los Medanos College, and South Dakota State. Derrick is survived by his mother and younger sister. The Lawmen extend our deepest sympathies and prayers for their loss during this trying period.
Derrick was an outgoing and very talented young man and an outstanding football player who will be missed by all. For the Lawmen, Derrick was very quickly finding ways to get himself on the field and always found ways to make plays when he was on the field.
The Lawmen will honor his memory by striving for nothing less than a championship in 2005.
